 A day with the world's best butcher: how to transform a village butcher's shop into a tourist destination

Dario Cecchini's dream of becoming a veterinarian was cut short by his father's premature death. Forced to abandon his studies and return to his village to take over the family business, Dario approached the butcher's trade with love, respect, and gratitude for every animal he slaughtered. Determined to show his customers that a cow offers much more than just sirloin and rib-eye steaks, he opened a gastronomic space in his shop where he offers hospitality, entertainment, and tastings of every part of the animal. Word of mouth turned the Antica Macelleria Cecchini into a gastronomic pilgrimage site. Cecchini also caught the attention of Netflix, who dedicated an episode of Chef's Table to him.
